The Chronicles of a Rotting Bathroom
My bathtub/toilet have been leaking a great amount of water over the years. You would figure my family and I would have noticed, but we didn’t. Nevertheless, it became such an obvious hindrance that we called people to check everything out. Turns out, it’s so rotted that we could fall through the floor while on the can, or taking a shower.
I would go into more detail, but talking about a bathroom throughout an entire blog would be entirely boring. Let’s just say, starting today we’ll be without a working bathroom for three weeks and have to resort to a port a potty. How very glam right? We’re basically going to have to bum off people’s showers for the time being. So fun.
Just for the fun of it, I’m probably going to post the “metamorphosis” of my family’s bathroom.
(for the record, I didn’t even know that window existed there)

Wow, really sorry to hear of this problem. It looks so strange to see the bathroom gutted out like that! And it is strange there was a window there…too bad there wasn’t like a hidden treasure chest or anything hiding underneath the floor (I always wished it would be possible to find something like that). At least the problem was recognized and is now being fixed and no one was hurt. Hoping your stress and troubles with this will be eased by knowing you’re doing what you can.
@makesenseofmadness - I’m starting to get used to the problem. I just need to start thinking more positively so I can stop being so stressed. The man didn’t find any hidden treasure, but he did find black mold -___-;;. I do on the other hand find it hilarious that I have a port a potty in my yard now. I haven’t had the joy of using it yet. I’m kind of scared too. Imagine how many strange people’s butt’s have been on it. Gross xD
@nihaokeisha - True. Or you can just go about it the Chinese way…squatty potties. Even better, except in China they have those without toilet paper..yay…
@makesenseofmadness - God I hated those toilets. I remember using them in Taiwan…never again.
@nihaokeisha - Yeah, my balance is too horrible to even attempt those. Not to mention the stalls are so low in some public places. More hygenic? Maybe. More disturbing? Possibly.
@makesenseofmadness - I had to use those toilets multiple time. The first time I was six, I thought I had to sit in the hole xD umm hahah.
@nihaokeisha - Yeah, I guess it was just one of those things that were related to culture shock. Kind of like, “You expect me to use those?” Totally wrong approach, but everything was so different in many ways. But I don’t miss those toilets, if you can call them that!
@makesenseofmadness - I remember some human secretions that had missed the hole, and the smell. *cringe*I definitely can agree with you on not missing them! I surely don’t miss them~
