Back to school and fear of doctors
It’s my second day of classes. So far so good, although tomorrow I hope I muscle up enough courage to schedule a doctor’s appointment on campus.
I have had (TMI…I know) a bladder infection for who knows how long. It hasn’t been horrible and painful so I just shoved the thought of it to the back of my mind. But lately I keep hearing horror stories about people not knowing how serious theirs was, and eventually dying from it.
I have the worst phobia of doctors, and it seems like every time I go to one something bad happens. Either they prescribe me medicine I end up being horribly allergic to, or they just don’t really do anything to help me…..I guess you could say I have the worst case of social anxiety. It takes a horrible fear for me to be able to face another.
Ah, leave it to school to make me realize stressful situations!
Anyways, words of encouragement and telling me I’m an undefeatable badass would help me push past the fear!

@nihaokeisha – Aww. Hmmm, maybe imagine the doctor as Dr. Nick from the Simpsons? Especially with that accent and catch phrase?

@nihaokeisha – If you giggle or even burst out laughing during the visit, just tell the doctor to never mind since it’s helping you get through the ordeal. Throw in a little evil finger-tapping hand motions to complete the feel.

Please go to the doctor. Sometimes stuff has simple cures. There is no reason to die or have damage because of the fear of a doctor. Perhaps you can change to a doctor that makes you feel comfortable.
I think going to the dentist is worse, but definitely go to your appointment and get checked out, especially since you know you have something.
And this is offtopic but girl, you break dance? That’s you doing a baby freeze at the top of your page right?

@loneshadow_wolf - I haven’t been to the dentist in ages x.x which is horrible, but I have bad memories there too!
And that is me! But that’s the only move I know how to do :/ I’m still learning though!
