  • Let’s not meet

I’m the type of girl that likes to get scared, so that of course meant taking a trip to reddit. I found this subreddit called let’s not meet, and was immediately intrigued. It’s basically a forum of nothing but people’s stories of their encounter with the creepiest of creeps. I’ve found myself reading them from when I wake up to the moment I go to bed. They are incredibly addicting to those who love real life horror.

Here’s one of the stories that I found interesting.

When I was about 19 I was living in a shady neighborhood near Seattle. It was my first time living by myself, and I enjoyed my single lady lifestyle. i was driving home from a cafe one night and came to a stop light near my apartment. Normally here I turn left, go down one long road, turn right, go down that road and voila! Apartment complex at the end.

I was in the lane to turn left and I see a van the other direction signaling right. It was a middle aged man driving the van, and for a moment we exchanged glances.

The minute I saw him I knew he was a creepy guy. Just a gut feeling. He had right of way and I was content to let him go ahead of me. He pulls into the long street and I follow a bit far behind. Then he pulls over.

I knew he was pulling over so I would pass him and he would get behind me. But I didn’t really know what else to do, so I passed him. He immediately pulls out behind me. I turn right at the end of the street, he turns right. I get to the end where my apartment complex is and turn left into it…he follows. I was, by the way, fairly sure he was following me, but there were lots of apartments there and while alarm bells were going off, I was second guessing it.

I drove in a circle around the complex, not stopping at my building and the whole time he was right on my tail. Then I very quickly sped around the corner, pulled into a spot and turned off my lights. I see him go by. And he pulls up right behind my car. I realized then i had made a stupid ass move. Luckily, after staring for a bit (I was crouched down in the seat) he went and pulled in next to me. That’s when I jammed the car in reverse, sped around to the other side of my apartment, jumped out and ran up to my floor.

Luckily my neighbor was having a party full of burly men. I ran up, they all saw my panicked face and asked me what went down. They let me stay there while I called the police. One even offering to ‘go look for the guy’. They did go down, but no van could be found.

The officer came later and basically advised me to vary my routine and if I see it again try to get the license and call the police while in my car (my phone was dead when I was driving home).

I never saw the van again. But as the officer told me, if anyone is ever following you, just drive to the nearest police station. Something I wish I had thought of at the time. But being young and stupid and panicked apparently clouds your judgement.

  • Is this seat taken?

*I’ve been meaning to write this blog for a long time now, but because finals were coming up I just didn’t have the time. BUT, since I’m finally entering my summer break I will write all the blogs!

So, when Warm Bodies came out in theaters, it was something me and my boyfriend wanted to watch. Since our schedules were kind of wonky at the time (his work schedule and my school hours didn’t match), we never had the time to make a time to see it. Of course, when the time came when we got to see it at last, that only meant one thing…..

WE HAD THE WHOLE THEATER TO OURSELVES!

This opportunity doesn’t happen that often; but when it does, you can relax as much as you want and be as loud as you want.

When we were finally getting comfortable with our seats, my boyfriend looked at me and asked me a question. A question that would change my life forever….

Okay not really, but it was a pretty awesome question.

He asked me if I wanted to sit in EVERY single seat in the theater. I’m definitely up for a challenge at all times, so I agreed without hesitation.

Let me just say one thing. I have never felt so tired sitting down before, but it was so worth it. I didn’t accomplish much of anything, but it was worth it because not too many people can say they did that (or maybe they can?). Either way, it’s a pretty dorky story to tell.

By the way, here are our victory poses. (My pose is awkward, but then again, so am I.)

If any of you ever have the gift of an empty theater, you guys should transform into a kid again. What’s the point in being serious all of the time? Am I right? :P

AND, have any of you sat in every seat of a movie theater? If so, do tell!

  • Dreadlocks sonnnn

Yesterday I played around with dreadlocks, and to my surprise. I actually liked them. Sadly though, due to my current job hunt, I had to take them out. So incredibly depressing, especially since I had to rip out practically half of my hair to get them out…OKAY I’m exaggerrating, but still. Hair was lost.

Have you ever tried anything drastic with your hair?? If so, how did it turn out?

  • Facebook secret admirers

My university has a Facebook page for on campus secret admirers. I’m not sure how many of these are serious, but I must say that all of them are hilarious!

I saved my favorite ones to share with you guys.

Do any of your universities have awesome Facebook pages like this?

  • Bad publicity is good publicity

My city Evansville, IN is known as the number one fattest city in America, as well as number eight in the top ten most miserable cities in the US.

I’m sitting in class right now, and everyone in here is bit*hing about it. They’re talking about how it’s not so bad here, and yadda yadda yadda. I say, who gives two craps about what some newspapers say about Evansville? Not too many people were aware of Evansville, especially not with cities like NYC, LA, and etc around. So for us to make the news is cool.

Bleh, at least we’re not the murder capital of the world. AM I RIGHT?! I mean chill people.

  • Why Drake Bell is STILL amazing

If you haven’t heard, some of the Beliebers on twitter have been changing their photos to Justin Bieber’s picture and tweeting whatever he says (I’m not sure why, and I surely don’t care enough to find out).

Well, there has been a twitter war between the Beliebers and Drake Bell. Instead of explaining it, I’ll just let you guys see for yourself.

  • You know how I couldn’t fart?

I almost shi* my pants in front of my boyfriend and his brother today playing frisbee golf in the middle of a field due to the poo poo flu. I guess we’re in the final step of our relationship. Hoorayy….
